Grape hyacinth


Grape Hyacinth (Muscari) is a genus of flowering plants. The genus is the pressure of the 23rd Heukels classified in the Family Asparagus (Asparagaceae). According to the APG II system (2003) would also be classified in the Hyacinth family (Hyacinthaceae) (option).

The famous representative of this genus are Eurasian "grape hyacinth (Muscari botryoides): The distinctive blue flowers give the plant its name. They are (like snowdrops and hyacinths) spring flowers in their energy saving bulb.
